Florence is the capital city of Italy’s Tuscany region. It is home to some of the greatest art works in the world, housed in it’s myriad of museums, churches and palaces.
It is a relatively compact city, which can be explored on foot. Some of the must see places include Uffizi and the Duomo (the cathedral).
The Ponte Vechhio, crosses the Arno River, is lined with jewelry shops and provides the iconic river view of the city.
