A visit to Venice is not complete without a trip to some of the other Islands in the Venetian Lagoon by boat buses and ferries.
Top of my list would be Burano, which is a ferry ride from Venice. The attraction here is the multi coloured properties that line the streets.
Then there is Murano, which is actually a series of small islands linked by bridges. Murano sits half between Burano and Venice. It is famous for its glass making. The glass museum pictured here is well worth a visit.
