Mulgrave Castle, Near Whitby

Desperate to try out my new Panasonic G80, we headed out to Sandsend, near Whitby in North Yorkshire. Though with such dull weather, these images suffer from lack of more interesting light.

Mulgrave Castle originally dates from the 13th century and situated in the middle of the vast woodlands of the Mulgrave Estate.

Mulgrave woods are open to the public from dawn to dusk on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays throughout the year except for the month of May when the woods are closed for the entire month. The woods at Mulgrave are managed by their forestry team providing forestry and timber products. There is plenty of evidence of this as you walk through the woods.

The walk up to the castle and back through the woodlands is about 3 miles. You can check out the walk on ViewRanger.
