Next stop on our road trip across Western Canada, was Golden BC, a slightly less expensive base from which to explore the rockies.
Kickinghorse Mountain
We opted for a ski lodge on Kickinghorse Mountain, which in the winter is a prime destination for people who ski. In the summer you can instead ride to the top of the mountain in a cable car through the clouds and visit Boo the orphaned Grizzly bear who lives on the mountain. Or if you are feeling energetic there are some amazing mountain bike runs down the mountain. In Canada you never have to go up hill on the bike - just jump in the cable car and start at the top.
